ARE YOU READY?
Our lives should bring God glory, and that includes when dating. If you believe that God is All-Knowing and that He has a plan for your life, then you must believe that He knows who your mate is. ARE YOU READY? ARE YOU PREPARED? No matter how frustrated you get, God is not going to give you a mate that you are not ready for. His timing is perfect. So, while you wait, get prepared. Not just for a mate, but for God's purpose for your life, and if you desire to get married, your spouse will be a part of that purpose. That's what I have been doing for the past 3 years: preparing Christian singles, and I'll share with you what I've learned about dating God's way.
WHAT THE CHURCH DIDN'T TEACH ME
Worldly Mindset
You cannot date like the world and be in a godly relationship that glorifies God.
Being frustrated and mad with God is not going to make Him give you a mate you are not ready for.
2 Corinthians 6:17 - is not a suggestion.
Spiritual Growth
Spiritual growth is necessary before God connects you to the person He has for you.
Wanting a mate and being ready for a mate are two different things.
You must be renewed in your mind by the Word of God.
You must know and experience real love before you can walk in it.
Identity in Christ
As a new believer, the most important thing for you to do is to get to know who Jesus is, so you can now know who you are in Him.
Once you are renewed in your mind and transformed, you are not attracted to the same type of person you used to be attracted to when you were in the world.
